1. What cookies and browser storage are
Cookies are small pieces of data that a website or related service can store in a browser. Similar technologies can include local storage and tags that remember settings or help measure website activity. This website uses a consent interface so visitors can distinguish between storage needed for basic operation and optional categories that may be used in a deployed advertising or analytics configuration.
2. Categories used on this site
Essential storage supports core functions such as security and remembering the visitor’s cookie choice. It cannot be disabled through the preference panel because the site needs it to remember whether optional storage was accepted or rejected. Analytics storage is intended for audience measurement and performance analysis. Marketing storage is intended for advertising measurement and related functionality. In this demonstration build, optional analytics and marketing storage are denied by default and no live Google measurement identifiers are included.
3. Consent Mode v2 behaviour
The website initialises consent settings before other measurement code. Advertising storage, advertising user data, advertising personalisation, analytics storage and personalisation storage start in a denied state. Functionality and security storage remain available for essential site operation. When a visitor accepts all optional categories, the consent state is updated. When optional categories are rejected, they remain denied. A visitor can reopen the preference panel and change the stored choice.

5. Google Ads and Analytics
The project architecture is compatible with Google Consent Mode v2. However, compatibility is not the same as active tracking. No live G-XXXX or AW-XXXX identifiers are included in this portfolio build. If Google Analytics or Google Ads conversion measurement is added later, the implementation should be documented here, including relevant cookies or identifiers such as analytics cookies and advertising storage, the purposes of processing, retention periods and how users can withdraw consent.
6. Managing or withdrawing consent
You can use the cookie banner to accept all optional categories, reject optional categories or open the preference panel. The preference panel can also be reopened from a “Cookie settings” control if one is added to the deployed site. Browser settings can be used to delete stored cookies or local-storage values. Clearing browser data may cause the consent banner to appear again. Withdrawal of consent affects future optional storage and does not necessarily erase information lawfully processed before withdrawal.
7. Third-party links and updates
External seller and research websites may set their own cookies after you leave this site. Their technologies are governed by their own policies. This Cookie Policy should be reviewed whenever analytics, advertising, hosting or embedded-media tools change. Questions can be sent to [email protected].
